While brainstorming how to "capture the heart" in our Call to Action Video, Veronica Balli, Ileana Reyna, and myself, decided that we needed to hear from the students. We chose students that we knew have struggled at times with the current education model and had them speak, with our Principal's blessing and their parent's permission of course. Knowing these students personally and knowing their struggles made this video even more special for us. My own son was also a part of this video. He is a highly intelligent twice exceptional student first grade student. He is a first grader in the Gifted and Talented program and is also a student with ADHD who has struggled at times in the traditional school setting. Hearing his voice in this video was extremely special. Knowing that our innovation plan can help him and so many students at V.F. Elementary makes it even more important for us to succeed with our innovation plan. We will Personalize the Future of Education.
